What are the application requirements?

Can I complete the program while working a full-time job or attending another full-time academic program?

Our program is a full-time and intensive 8-week course requiring online synchronous participation from Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM (EST), as well as completion of assignment and project work after class hours. There are currently no evening courses available; however, we are always looking to reduce barriers for participants. If you have any feedback about how we can make the program accessible to you, please let us know.

Can I take part in the program if I’m still completing studies at other institutions?

The goal of the program is to place  graduates into high-demand Cybersecurity roles once the program ends. If your ongoing studies still require several months or more to complete, we recommend that you apply to a  future cohort of the program. We run numerous programs each year, so don’t worry if you miss the window for one.

Job Support
What type of job search support do you provide?

Cyber Connexion incorporates human and soft skills training that will prepare you for entering the workforce. This training includes 1:1 coaching, résumé and cover letter review, interview preparation, LinkedIn coaching and more. We also provide the opportunity to connect with industry professionals and hiring managers through networking events, panel discussions and guest speaker sessions.

What are your post-program employment rates and where do alumni now work?

For program grads who have actively pursued a career in cybersecurity, the employment rate is over 90%.

Our alumni are currently working in roles at KPMG, Mercedes-Benz, Deloitte, CertiK, Arctic Wolf, the Herjavec Group, and eSentire, just to name a few.

Payment & Financing
What is the cost of the program?

The program has been valued at $12,000 CAD. For a limited time, we are offering the program at a reduced cost of  $5,500 CAD.

This figure includes the many events, activities, facilitators and partners who actively participate in building and running the program. The program value is comparable to the price of many other types of accelerated cybersecurity training programs in Canada.

Which payment options are available?

Payment-in-full is required.

If accepted into the program, you will be required to pay a 10% deposit to reserve your place.

The outstanding tuition fee will be required by the invoice deadline specified in the offer letter.  

Are there additional subsidies or scholarships available?

We currently do not offer any scholarships or subsidies.

Course & Curriculum
What are the hardware/software requirements for participation in the program?

A properly configured system is required to fully participate in this course.

  1. You must have a laptop or desktop computer (no iPads or tablets) with a microphone and camera.
  2. Operating System: Latest version of Windows 10, MacOS 10.15.x Catalina or later.
  3. CPU: 64-bit Intel i5 or greater, 2.0+ GHz processor.
  4. RAM: 8 GB RAM (or more) is highly recommended for the best experience.
  5. Stable internet connection capable of supporting video-conferencing.

    Participants receiving support from programs such as Better Jobs Ontario may be eligible for financial assistance for supplies and electronics devices.

How much reading and work material is there?

You can expect 10 hours of team or individual work outside of class hours each week.

Is there any tutoring support for students who don't grasp certain concepts?

Industry mentors are available to  support individuals throughout the program to ensure successful completion.

Are there any tests, exams or certifications?

There are no exams in the program; however, there are weekly assessments to help chart progress. We issue an official certificate after successful completion.

Post-program we provide a pathway to Comptia Security+, CSA’s Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK), AWS Cloud
